Round duct reducer

Description

1. Uses

• Used for round duct diameter converter from large to small (or vice versa) in ventilation, air conditioning, and fire protection systems.
• Help adjust air flow and wind speed suitable for each pipe section.
• Connection between duct sections or equipment (fans, air valves, hoods, etc.) of different sizes.

2. Material

• Galvanized steel Z080 (Hoa Sen / Hoa Phat) - galvanized standard for corrosion protection.
• Material thickness: 0.58mm – 1.15mm depending on diameter and pressure requirements.
• Can be machined by Stainless steel 304/201 for humid environments or high hygiene requirements (clean rooms, food).

3. Specifications – Dimensions

• Large diameter (D1): Ø150 – Ø1250 mm.
• Small diameter (D2): According to design requirements, smaller than D1.
• Cone length (L): Depending on the design, ensure smooth transition, limit wind pressure loss.
• Taper angle: Calculated to minimize airflow turbulence, typically 15°–30°.

4. Processing method

• Rolling, rounding and welding technology or seam sealing to ensure airtightness.
• Connector: can do head hug or pullover to suit the installation type.
• The joints are treated to prevent air leakage (with specialized glue or airtight tape).

5. Application

• System HVAC (cold air supply, fresh air, exhaust air).
• System smoke extraction – fire protection.
