Classification of basement ventilation system design types<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Currently, in basement ventilation system design there are 2 main types, which are:<\/p>\n

a. Ventilation system designed with fans and air ducts. Including:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Exhaust fan and supply fan system<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Supply and exhaust duct system<\/p>\n

b. Ventilation system designed with only fan. Including:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Exhaust fan and supply fan system<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Jetfan system pushes air<\/p>\n

Basically, the difference between the two designs above is the system components (including equipment and air ducts).<\/p>\n

Some points to note when designing basement ventilation systems<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For ventilation system design with fans and ducts<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u00b7 Design ventilation schematic diagram, control diagram, operating status table, etc.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Determine the ventilation level of the basement with the requirements: dividing ventilation zones, emergency ventilation, etc.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Calculate the ventilation flow of the supply and exhaust systems.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Calculation of supply and exhaust duct systems. Calculation of pressure head for 1-speed or 2-speed fans.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Calculate the elevation of the air duct, the position of the exhaust or supply fan shafts.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Calculate the size of the louvers and air vents.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Select exhaust fans, supply fans, CO sensors, etc.<\/p>\n

For ventilation system design using only fans<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u00b7 Determine the ventilation level of the basement and requirements such as: dividing ventilation areas, emergency ventilation, etc.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Calculate ventilation flow for supply and exhaust systems.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Choose from a range of Jettfan systems with 1-speed or 2-speed fans.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Calculate the reasonable distance between fans. Calculate the height, fan tilt angle, etc.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 It is necessary to check with CFD software to simulate wind flow for tunnels with an area of 2,600 m2 or more.<\/p>\n

Advantages and Disadvantages of Basement Ventilation System Design Methods<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For ventilation systems using fans and ducts<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The required ventilation flow always depends on the area of the basement. Therefore, for large basements, if the design using fans and air ducts is applied, there will be obstacles:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Difficulty in coordinating the duct system with other MEP systems<\/p>\n

\u00b7 If the tunnel has a low ceiling height, it will affect the traffic height.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 For systems using large fans and long ducts, additional costs will be required for soundproofing treatment.<\/p>\n

However, currently in Vietnam, most projects are still designed this way because:<\/p>\n
